Alfred Karl Heinz Schalo
October 8, 1947 (Olnhausen, Germany)
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Dearly loved husband for nearly 50 years of Denise Schalo. Dear father of Angelina (Doug) Coutts and Derek (Susan) Schalo. Cherished Grandpa to Jessica & Nick Coutts and "his girl" Adilyn Schalo. Loved God-Father of Kim Schalo and Tammy Durepeau. Survived and sadly missed by brother Willie (Judy) and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Jacob & Wilhelmina (Dermann) Schalo, and siblings Annie, August, Helene and Gottlieb "Ernie".
A special thank you to the staff of Marianhill Palliative Care for taking such good care of him.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Alfred with his family during visitation at St. John’s Lutheran Church 357 Miller Street, Pembroke on Saturday February 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 18th , in St. John’s Lutheran Church at 11:30 a.m.
In Memory of Alfred, donations to The Canadian Lung Association or St. John’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
