Obituary for Anna Marie Lynch (Gorman)
Marie Lynch, March 3, 1924 - September 20, 2021
We are sorry to announce the passing of Anna Marie Lynch (nee Gorman). Marie was the mother of Chuck (Martine Irman), Bob (Joanne) and John Lynch (Cathy Yanosik). Predeceased by her husband Orville Lynch and their daughter Betty. Nana to Kimberly Bradeen (Stephen), Brendan (Julianne Villella), Conor and Liam Lynch.
Marie was the daughter of Lawrence and Ella (Enright) Gorman of Douglas. She was predeceased by her four Gorman siblings: Prof. Dannie (Sandra), Betty, Gerald (Carole), and Teresa (Alex McEachen). She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Marie was a respected elementary school teacher at Pine Valley School (Douglas), and in Arnprior and Pembroke. She loved her family and her faith and was a dedicated CWL volunteer. She was humble and, like her mother before her, preferred to give than to receive. She will be sorely missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 280 Lourdesview Drive, in Pembroke on Thursday, September 23 at 11:00 am and she will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter in St. Columba’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice, and following Marie's example please bestow a random act of kindness upon a stranger, especially those most in need of love and respect.
