Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday October 26, 2021 in her 92nd year. Ellen Burkholder (nee Grove) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Elvon Burkholder. Cherished mother of Daniel Burkholder (Margaret), Dianne Cashin, David Burkholder (Val) and the late Delphine and Darlene Burkholder. Mother-in-law of Jacques.
Loving grandmother to Jonathan (Aislinn), Michelle, Matthew (Jennifer) and Janette (Christopher), Sarah (Devon), Nathan (Elizabeth), Rachel (David) and David , David (Jessica) and Amber (Dejen), Amanda (Joel), Anna and great grandchildren Lewis ,Isaac, Holly, Penelope, Theodore, Titus, Lydia-Amelia, Thomas, David, Daniel, Eleanor, Abel, Noah, Elizabeth and Xavier.
Sister of Anne Mason and Albert Grove (Judy) and the late John Grove (late Melita). Sister-in-law to Helen Burkholder. Ellen will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Ellen during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke, on Friday October 29 from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. Private Interment Wesley United Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 30th at 2:00 p.m. in First Evangelical Missionary Church, Shalom Street, Pembroke. In Lieu of Flowers for Ellen, donations to the Samaritan's Purse would be preferred.
COVID PROTOCOLS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE RESPECTED, MASKS MUST BE WORN IN THE FUNERAL HOME AND THE CHURCH.
