Peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Joan Darby (nee Laporte) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late George Darby. Loved mother of Debbie Darby and loving grandmother to Serena and Samantha Ethier and great grandchildren Ethan, Bentley and Anjo. Predeceased by her sons Richard and Tim Darby and granddaughter Shannon.
Dear sister of Terry Laporte (Lillian), Timmins,Phyllis Babiak (Myron), Petawawa and the late Doug Laporte and the late Denis Laporte. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Philip and Muriel (nee MacMillan) Laporte.
Respecting Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Murphy Funeral Home, Pembroke.
