It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of John at his home on Saturday, July 9, at the age of 73.
Devoted husband to Judy, father to Laurie (Scott), Jeremy (Dawn), brother to Andrew and Joan, and beloved grandfather to Carly.
John was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anne.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him for his thoughtfulness, generous nature, and steady presence.
John was a chemical technologist at Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL) for 17 years. This experience and his love of chemistry lead him to become one of the founding members of Bubble Technology Industries (BTI) in Chalk River. He was involved in sales, marketing and production of core products for the company for the next 35 years.
A lover of cats and the outdoors, he enjoyed his retirement relaxing in the backyard garden with all of nature's friends.
He was a generous person; donating to the local Humane Society, Canadian Wildlife Federation, and Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
In his honour you may donate to one of his favoured causes.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
