At the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday October 13, 2022 with her family by her side, at the age of 77 years. Linda Spagnolo (nee Brunette) of Petawawa, beloved wife of Dino Spagnolo. Loved and cherished mother to David (Maria) of Calgary, AB, Domenic (Emily) of Ridgetown, ON, and Daniel (Brigid) of Ottawa, ON.
Loving grandmother to Yvonne and Emilio, Phaedra and Davalynn and Damian, Oliver and Xavier.
Dear sister of Robert (Andrea) of Ottawa, Christine , Jeffery (Gerri) and Thomas (Barbara) all of Petawawa.
Linda was born Feb 1, 1945 in Carshalton, England, daughter of the late Albert and Rosina (Thackery) Brunette. She moved two years later to Petawawa, ON, Canada and married Dino Spagnolo on June 29, 1968 in Petawawa.
Linda graduated with a General BA from St Pats College in Ottawa and Honors BA from the University of Toronto She taught History and English in West Lorne High School and at General Panet in Petawawa until 1973
She owned and operated Algonquin Sewing Center in Petawawa until her retirement in 2009.Linda served on the executive of Log Cabin Quilters’ Guild, St Joseph Food Bank and Circle of Turtle Lodge.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Linda with her family at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Thursday October 20th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 21st in Our Lady of Sorrows Church 11 Mohns Ave Petawawa, at 2:30 p.m., followed by cremation.
In memory of Linda, donations in her name to St Joseph Food Bank, Pembroke Regional Hospital or Circle of Turtle Lodge would be appreciated.
