Unexpectedly on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at the age of 36 years. Sarah Shankland of Petawawa, dearly loved daughter of Len and Debby (nee Empie) Shankland. Loved sister to Jason Shankland and Jeff Shankland (Nicole) both of Petawawa. Loved and cherished aunt to Payton and Madison. Loved and sadly missed by her aunts and uncles Linda McCarthy (Pat), Susan Brown (late Robert), Gordon Shankland, all of North Bay, Heather Haywood (Ross), Australia, Bob Empie (Rebecca), Ohio, and all her cousins and many friends.
Sarah was a former nurse at CHEO, in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and an accomplished gymnast reaching the Provincial level.
Sarah has left an impact on many lives and will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Wednesday April 13th at 2:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 11 Mohns Avenue Petawawa. Spring Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery.
