Sheila A. Skelley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 4, 2018 at Marianhill, Pembroke in her 88th year. Loving daughter of the late Dr. Albert J. Skelley and Irenice E. Lamothe (Skelley) (nee Murtagh). Dear sister of Judy Sims (late Bob), Toronto. Predeceased by her sister Mary O'Reilly (late Frank) and her brother John Skelley. She will be sadly missed by Renee Skelley and her many nieces and nephews (Shannon, Julia, Kevin, Catherine, John, and Matthew). Sheila was born in Ste. Anne de Beaupre, Que. and moved with her family to Pembroke during the depression. She worked as Production Assistant (Public Affairs, Vancouver), Assistant BBC representative (Toronto), Program Organizer (Washington), Liaison Officer for foreign broadcasters (IBC -Expo 67) and Overseas and Foreign Relations Officer (Ottawa and London England). Her retirement years were spent enjoying family and friends at her cottage, 'Chateau sur le lac', on Golden Lake. She was an itinerant traveller and will be missed by her vast global network of friends. Special thanks to the staff at Marianhill for their loving care and compassion.
