A Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, died in Pembroke, Ontario on the 21stday of January, 2023 in the 72ndyear of her Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, John Patrick and Gertrude (Kelly), her sisters, Sister Susan Daley, gsic, Evelyn Ryan, Lima Smith, Mary Sullivan and Olive Daley and her brothers Leonard and Raymond. Sister Geraldine was born on August 12th, 1931, in Venosta, Quebec. She entered the Community on September 15th, 1951, pronouncing her final vows on August 7th, 1956. A teacher by profession, she taught at Immaculata High School, Ottawa, Eganville and O’Gorman High School, Timmins, where she also served as Principal. Other ministries involved Leadership positions at the Motherhouse, and Pastoral and Palliative Care Visitor at St. Patrick’s Home, Ottawa. Her final years were lived peacefully at Shalom Residence, Pembroke.
Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 280 Lourdesview Drive, Pembroke ON (corner of Irving St.) Interment in St. Columba Cemetery.
